OK Innocence Project Hosts 2nd Annual Fish Fry Fundraiser in Plaza District
Proceeds from event will benefit the non-profit in its effort to remedy wrongful convictions in Oklahoma

On Saturday, October 7, 2017, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm the Oklahoma Innocence Project (OKIP) is hosting its 2nd annual fish fry to raise money to help wrongfully convicted Oklahomans regain their freedom.  The Oklahoma City University School of Law Innocence Project operates on private donations and all services are offered free of charge to the clients.

The event is sponsored by and will take place at Saints Pub at 1715 NW 16th, Oklahoma City, in the Plaza District.

There will be Music, Food, Drinks and Speakers. Tickets are $27.50, which buy one (1) food ticket, two (2) drink tickets, and one (1) free raffle ticket.  Local musicians will be Chanda Graham, Ryan Spunky Adams, Kreative Noize, Robert Banks and Positive Productions. All proceeds benefit the OKIP.

OKIP had its first exonerations in May 2016, when a Tulsa County Judge found Malcolm Scott and De'Marchoe Carpenter innocent and set them free.  The pair served 22 years in prison for the wrongful conviction of murder.

The OKIP fish fry is open to the public.  All donations are greatly appreciated and will directly benefit the clients of the Project.  Advanced tickets are available at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/2nd-annual-okip-wrongful-conviction-day-fish-fry-tickets-36841385576
